Agree about Jessica, loved The American Way of Death and Hons and Rebels. She also fronted a “cowbell and kazoo orchestra” called Decca and the Dectones! I think because her civil rights and anti-McCarthy endeavors were all in the U.S., she’s actually better known here. As for the rest of the family, the less said (or written and filmed) the better.
I stumbled across a copy of A Silver-plated Spoon by one of the dukes of Bedford when I was a teenager and thinking, “These people are all a few screws short of a hardware store.” Still think so.

I think Jessica did the best she could with her heritage, but am not sure she'd still be known in the UK if she hadn't been a Mitford.
